List whatever comes to mind. I'm gonna start with an obvious one; Guns n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction.
Mr Brownstone and Rocket Queen are better than any of the "big three" (Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City and Sweet Child). Fucking rules my soul. |

I've got to say that on Appetite Night Train is pretty hard to top.
Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner off Somewhere In Time is brilliant. |

Struggle Within off Metallica's Black album. Best song on there in my opinion. Some of Hammet's finest work went into that solo. |

Appetite isn't overrated!
My favourite tracks on that album are; Mr Brownstone, My Michelle and Sweet Child O' Mine (sorry, just can't go past that song).
Although, this is a good subject, I feel I can't really contribute that much (and I'm sure Nick is much the same as we share a similar philosophy on this point). I listen to albums. Therefore, if I don't like albums (i.e. there is too much stuff that I don't enjoy) I typically won't listen to any of it.
That is within the realm of metal. Outside metal, some songs I like but I'm sure sit on worthless albums:
Life of Agony - Weeds
Fugazi - Do You Like Me
Fugazi - Waiting Room
Whale - Hobo Humping Slobo Babe
Eve's Plumb - I Want It All
Orgy - Blue Monday
Stone Temple Pilots - Unglued
etc etc.
The songs "Sweet Dreams" and "Tainted Love" are also quite cool dark pop-esque songs. |
