Looks killer milita!!
Well done bro, page looks bloody sweet. Cannot wait to hear some new releases this year- new Blind Guardian (and they are rumoured to be touring in 06!!!!!) being the one i'm hanging for!
Hopefully we will get to see some more great bands tour this year, damn for me to see Angra twice in one week (and get to meet them at the Nightwish gig) was something 3 years ago I would never of dreamed of happening. Hope this year I can catch up with some of you guys at meet (and have a few ales) in person.
Until then cheers.

Yeh. It was a lot of work on everyone’s part but in the end it was worth it. We tried to promote as many things there as possible. The bands did their fair share too.
Hopefully next year we will do the same and will have even more people (both staff and contributors) posting their lists. |

Good work guys, nice list you've got there. But Obituary at no. 6 with Bolt Thrower at 12? And the new Drudkh... meh. Don't think it deserved such a high-profile spot. But it's a very well put-together list, so good on ya's for all the effort. |

Excellent work guys, I am very impressed!!!
I must caonfess to having spent most of 2005 backdating my cd collection rather than buying new stuff. That said, 2005 was a ripper of a year and I look forward to 2006 being even better!!!

I know that I'm a little late on this one, but since I've just joined up I thought that I'd contribute my favourites of last year (in no particular order)
*Akercocke - Words that Go Unspoken, Deeds that Go Undone
*Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal
*Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked
*Behemoth - Demigod (Its been mentioned that this can be classified as this year - thats when I got it and heard it at least)
*Obituary - Frozen in Time
*Opeth - Ghost Reveries
*1349 - Hellfire
*Cryptopsy - Once Was Not
*Marduk - Plague Angel
*Napalm Death - The Code is Red... Long Live the Code
*Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
OK, that's 11, but I couldn't choose any particular one I wished to cull |

I've heard really mixed things about Akercocke and 1349. I should give it a listen one day.
Although I suggest you try (from my list) Averse Sefira (if you haven't already done so). |

I've heard Akercocke before and it doesn't really impress me at all.
Hey, if i thought Behemoth would count towards 2005 i would have had it in my list as well |

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to give it a listen.
Well the new Akercocke I think is much better than the early stuff. It's still got the blasts in there and the screechy vocals and growls, but it is now much more varied and as a whole album of material I think that its good. Even if you've never liked them before I would suggest giving it a couple of listens before dismissing it.
1349 is just good old style black metal. I moved away from liking that sort of stuff, more prefering the death, but this one I found just appealed to me. Again, give it a couple of listens, I won't try to convince people that they're both the best albums out there. |

1349's hellfire is a top album I think. I just got Akecocke's 'Rape of the Bastard Nazerene' yesterday (they didn't have 'Words that go unspoken...' which is what I was looking for). It's ok, but I'm still undecided... |
