I wish to swap my choices of either Coma of Souls or Incorrigible Bigotry for Agallohch's The Mantle.

YARRR.

After much deliberation i want to remove from my top 10 World Ov Worms and Whoracle, and replace them with Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World and Destroyer 666 - Phoenix Rising.

Close to making the cut is Dissection - Somberlain

Slough Feg's "Atavism" is easily my most listened to album of this year, and doing so probably makes it a likely contender for the ever changing 3-4 albums in my list.

Actually now that I think of it, Gun's n' Roses "Use Your Illusion I" is easily top 10 material. Fuckin' aye.

Firslty, Pale Folklore > The Mantle

Secondly Incorrigible Bigotry can't not be on the list

Thirdly, Kreator can't not be on the list.

Fourthly, about fucking time DAN! World ov Worms sucks man penis (comparatively)

Fifthly, Guns N Roses aren't metal (despite the fact that i did not specify) and Appetite for Destruction is way better anyway.

Sixthly you should have come watch Australia's national sport dan (cricket) at V-bar. Card was down all night and I'm smashed now!!!!! Three Cheers for Chambo! Laughing

Probably, but The Mantle has so many memories for me...

Also a "memories" thing. UYI1 was just a big part of my teens.

Ok, it had the better "hits" like Civil War, Yesterdays and Enstranged, but it also had a lot of shit like Shotgun Blues and My World (god that was horrible).

UYI1 had a couple of good hits, but between them were some AMAZINGLY rockin' tracks. Back Off Bitch, Don't Damn Me and Coma are spectacular.

And overrated as it may be, November Rain has some fantastic material.

right next door to hell
double talking jive
dust n bones
live and let die
the garden
garden of eden
bad apples
dead horse
coma.
bad obsession

and as if work dan. i heard about the MLC "retreat" you guys have planned .. two days off at the firms expense. beats the shit out of the end of engagement dinner we get uninvited from on CFS. Laughing

Maybe you're right, but UYI2 has history for me. You Could Be Mine was one of the first tracks i heard that shifted my tastes in music, down the metal path.

And yes, i know GnR isnt metal, but when you're 11 its hard to get exposure to anything other than what was on Rage.

I will say this for UYI1, the cover version of Live and Let Die is awesome. Usually Beatlesque songs should never be covered, but that version is wicked.

It's kind of hard to narrow it down to ten, but here are a few:

Coroner - Punishment For Decadence
Crucified - The Pillars of Humanity
Sanctuary - Into the Mirror Black
Flotsam and Jetsam - No Place For Disgrace
Helstar - Nosferatu
Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes
Overkill - Horrorscope
King Diamond - Conspiracy
Mercyful Fate - In the Shadows
Kreator - Extreme Aggression

Some other notables:
Sepultura - Arise
Vio-Lence - Oppressing the Masses
Testament - Practice What You Preach
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss

There are so many to choose from. Not in any paticular order.

no particular order:

1. kreator-pleasure to kil
2. sodom-persecution mania
3. sodom-mortal way of live
4. prong- force fed
5. clutch-clutch
6. my dying bride-as the flower withers
7. death-leprosy
8. parasite-parasite. this band is an old, obscure power metal band from sweden-bet you thought hammerfall created swedish power metal, didn't you?-that had 1 e.p. on sword records in 1984. their song "nightwind' is one of the best power metal classics of all time, imo.
9. helloween-judas-just for the smokin' live version of "ride the sky"- the version that made me want to to do a black/death cover version w/ fukked.
10. there is no ten!
anyway this list is just as of 5:26pm est, ept. 15th, 2005, and will change periodically and on a whim

update:
just broke out some old vader that haven't heard in long time and for now no. 10 shall be "Black To The Blind" , that and "dreams and dying eyes' by "horde of worms"

dan: uy2 is cool. wicked songs like civil war and so forth, but uy1 is cream pants worthy...

who wants a one handed brekky? Laughing

look out for my rust in peace flash back review ... its quite good. if i dont mind saying so myself ... hope someone adds it soon ....

Smile

My new all time fav album is:

Firewind - Forged By Fire

It's seriously the best album ive ever heard. If you havnt heard of this band, shame on you. Power metal dosnt get any better then this. I listened to this start to finish 10 times over and it constantly blew my mind.

You have to hear it.
