For centuries people all over the world have been celebrating Festival of the Dead as part of Halloween to remember those who died.

In October 2007, Festival of the Dead will be crushing skulls with a line up of unmatched extreme brutality.

Originally established as a Sydney Metal Festival, Festival of the Dead has quickly grown to become "AUSTRALIA'S MOST EXTREME TOURING METAL FESTIVAL".

FESTIVAL OF THE DEAD 2007 will feature THE BERZERKER (Aus/UK), THE AMENTA (AUS/UK), AKERCOCKE (UK) & FLESHGORE (UKR)

5 years since their last performances on home soil, the long awaited return of The Berzerker is here. Unmasked and uncompromising, The Berzerker are set to terrify audiences with a sonic barrage of industrial grindcore. Having just released their brutal new album "Animosity" via Earache Records to critical acclaim, they have promised their homecoming to be worth the wait! These will also be the last Australian Berzerker shows with Matt Wilcock (Akercocke) and Sam Bean (The Senseless).

Carrying on the momentum generated by their highly successful debut album "Occassus", THE AMENTA are set to release one of the most anticipated follow ups in metal. Titled "Non", The Amenta's second album will be available from French label Listenable Records in September and will no doubt have them on the front cover of every metal publication once again. With a new vocalist from the UK only time will tell what The Amenta have in store for listeners.

London's "Evil Gentlemen" of black death metal, Akercocke have just released their new album "Antichrist". With elements of just about every style of metal, "Antichrist" promises to be a killer follow up to one of the best albums of 2005 "Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone", both out through Earache Records. Progressive, Extreme & always controversial.

Hailing from the Ukraine , FLESHGORE became the first band from ex-USSR performing on legendary "Wacken Open Air". A week later they are on stage along with Fear Factory, Dimmu Borgir and Morbid Angel. Now they're set to bring their Ex-Soviet new wave brutal deathcore to the Australian masses.

While other multi headlined bills claim to be brutal, they don’t even come close to the ferocity of FESTIVAL OF THE DEAD!
