| Mick Sultana leaves MORTAL SIN |
Luke Cook from the aussie thrash metal gods MORTAL SIN has posted the following band update direct to HM:
"Hey everyone, After a very successful South American tour we thought it was about time we put our new album to the top of our "to do" list."
"Unfortuneatly when discussions were being had about it Mick has decided to leave the band. This came as a huge blow to us. Mick being the brilliant guitarist and great friend that he is. But we do respect Mick's decision to pursue other things in his life. From all of the Mortal Sin camp.... Cheers Mick! We fuckin love ya man! Thanks for everything!"
"We will be replacing Mick but not for a while. We're writing as a 4 person unit and won't have auditions until the next album is complete. Don't bother making up storys or speculating, which the high school playground mentality of the Sydney scene seems to enjoy. There is no anomosity between us. Never will be. Cheers, Chewy"

We have recruited Andrew Lilley to fill in for this tour only. Andrew is a brilliant guitarist and a good friend and we know he will do us proud. Cheers

| DREADNAUGHT Announces Release Date for New LP. |
Anonymous writes "Australian hard rock / metal band DREADNAUGHT have just announced that their new LP CD will be available as download and as a physical product in stores from May 1st. Due to the signing of a distribution agreement through Amphead Music, the LP will be available as a download from iTunes and in good record stores. Amphead are a leading player in online distribution, and although a relatively new label, have an experienced team of promotional and A&R staff.
The self-titled LP CD, Dreadnaught’s 5th studio release since 1993, represents a 16 year milestone for the band. Vocalist Greg Trull had this to say about the writing and recording of the LP.
“… When this band goes into the studio its all about making a record that expresses ourselves as us, and not as an imitation of whatever brand of heavy metal is popular at that particular time. It’s about being honest with yourself and honest with your fans, because if you’re not, then you’re ripping them and you off…”
Dreadnaught’s new LP CD will be available for download from iTunes, and in all good record stores from May 1st."
